November 11 & 12, 2015 - Easton, Maryland

Easton, Maryland - Guyette & Deeter, Inc. conducted their annual fall decoy auction on November 11 & 12 at the Talbot County Community Center in Easton, Maryland. The sale was held in conjunction with the Easton Waterfowl Festival and  was accompanied by a Buy, Sell & Swap. The auction grossed $2.1 million, which was within estimate. There was a larger crowd in the audience as well as 130 phone and absentee bids and 129 active online bidders. 42 lots sold for over $10,000, and the top lot in the auction was a pair of old squaw by Shang Wheeler, that sold for $103,500.

The sale featured the collections of Sam Dyke, Richard & Nancy Denesevich, Richard Elliot, Brent Flowers, Pete Hanley, Roger Mallar, Doug & Ellen Miller, George Moses, and Reid Newcomb.

Guyette & Deeter’s next decoy sale will be held February 13, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina. It is held in conjunction with the Southeastern Wildlife Expo.  Quality consignments for the sale will be accepted until December 28 or until full.
